Joe Flacco earns more money with each Ravens win

Joe Flacco likely earned another fist full of dollars Sunday night as he lets his play negotiate for him.

will re-air the Baltimore Ravens' 31-30 win over the New England  Patriots in Week 3 on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. ET.

Flacco, in the final year of his contract, out-dueled three-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady en route to a 31-30 win against the New England Patriots. He threw for 382 yards with three touchdowns, one interception and moved the ball in the final seconds to set up the game-winning field goal.

Flacco insists he's one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL and has played like it in 2012. The Ravens eventually will pay him like one, even if they're playing hardball at the moment.

"A lot of people criticize Joe, and he's proven to people over and over again that he's an elite quarterback," Ravens receiver Anquan Boldin told Comcast SportsNet Baltimore after the game. "Me, personally, I'm tired of hearing people talk about it. Hopefully, he'll put it behind him."

That shouldn't be too hard. Flacco is No. 2 in the NFL in passing yards (913), tied for No. 5 in touchdowns (six) and No. 9 in quarterback rating (101.1). The Ravens are 2-1 with the best record in the AFC North, having just knocked off the Patriots.

Life is good for Flacco right about now. He might not have that contract extension yet, but price tag seemingly goes up with each week.
