What we learned ...
L.T. got his wish: Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson has mostly sat out preseason games over the past few years, but he lobbied coach Norv Turner to let him play this year. While he didn't see a ton of action, Tomlinson did get in the game and had four carries for 10 yards.

Shawne Merriman's knee is OK: The Chargers' pass-rushing linebacker showed no ill effects from the injury that cost him nearly the entire 2008 season. Though he had only one tackle, Merriman flashed some of his old speed off the edge.
Matt Hasselbeck's back seems healed: The Seahawks' starting quarterback said the back woes that caused him to miss nine games last season were behind him in training camp, and he proved it against the Chargers. In limited playing time, Hasselbeck completed 3 of 5 passes for 27 yards and didn't appear to favor his back at all.
