| Matt Ryan made the most of his first preseason start against the Titans. |
What we learned ...
Vince Young still struggling: Young has not thrown a touchdown pass in the preseason, a streak he extended against the Falcons. He did lead the Titans on a scoring drive that was capped by John Vaughn's 50-yard field goal in the first quarter. Young did throw his first interception of the game.
Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan impressive in first start: Ryan looked great in his first start against the Jaguars, but struggled against the Colts. The third overall pick made the most of his first NFL start as he completed 15 of 21 passes for 102 yards, including a 1-yard touchdown pass to Harry Douglas.
Atlanta's defensive rookies look sharp: Through two weeks of the preseason, the defensive players in the team's rookie class, linebacker Curtis Lofton, defensive end Kroy Biermann and cornerback Chevis Jackson have been outstanding. Lofton continued that hot streak by leading the team with 6 tackles.
