| JaMarcus Russell led the Raiders to a first-half touchdown. |
What we learned ...
JaMarcus Russell is for real: While the Raiders' second-year QB was shaky to early (3-of-5 for 7 yards on Oakland's first three drives), he bounced back and proved why he was the No. 1 overall pick in 2007. Russell showed mobility, avoiding an aggressive Titans pass rush on a rollout to hit TE Zach Miller for a touchdown, and a strong arm throughout the game, finishing 10-of-17 for 75 yards and the touchdown.
Titans have a dynamic duo: Rookie RB Chris Johnson (8 carries for 46 yards) is electric with the ball, providing the offense a burst of energy whenever he touches it. Third-year RB LenDale White is proving he can be the workhorse, showing a good combination of power and speed in his 8-carry, 39-yard performance.
Vince Young still looks uncomfortable: Young followed up a shaky effort in Week 1 of the preseason with an even more inconsistent outing vs. the Raiders, going 4-of-13 for 37 yards. Young just couldn't find a rhythm, badly over-and-under throwing a number of receivers. He was helped by a couple of dropped interceptions by the Raiders.
