What we learned ...

The preseason debut of Matt Ryan: The third overall selection in the draft had an impressive showing. Ryan had a rough first series, but threw for 113 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown pass to Roddy White in the second quarter.

First look at Michael Turner: The Falcons signed LaDainian Tomlinson's understudy to be the featured back in Atlanta. Turner rushed five times for 22 yards.

Jaguars' Matt Jones keeps impressing: Jones has had his best training camp to date as he tries to repair his image following an arrest during the offseason. Jones continued that against the Falcons with three receptions for 37 yards.
