The Green Bay Packers broke a franchise record for scoring in the playoffs on Ryan Grant's 1-yard touchdown run on the opening drive of the fourth quarter in near blizzard conditions. The touchdown put the Packers up 42-20, breaking the previous record by one point and sealing their spot in the NFC Championship game.

Ryan Grant could have been the goat for the Packers. He fumbled the ball on two of his first three touches and Seattle recovered both to put Green Bay into a 14-0 hole four minutes into the game. Grant responded to the early gaffes by having the game of his young career. He finished the first half with two rushing touchdowns and added another in the fourth. He finished the game with 201 yards, his sixth 100-yard game of the season. He also established new franchise records in a playoff game for rushing (passing Ahman Green, 156 yards) and rushing touchdowns.

The Packers were efficient after the two early turnovers. They generated 408 yards of offense, converted on all of their third down tries until late in the fourth quarter, scored on all six trips into the red zone, while Brett Favre completed 18 of 23 passes.
