For the second straight week, Saints backup running back Pierre Thomas was outstanding. The rookie carried the ball 16 times for 81 yards and a touchdown, and he also added 47 yards receiving on two catches. Dolphins counterpart Patrick Cobbs was also notable, accounting for 83 total yards.

Miami quarterbacks John Beck and Gibran Hamdan threw four interceptions and failed to record a touchdown.

Noteworthy
The Saints defense pitched a shutout, surrendered only nine first downs, forced four turnovers and gave up just 121 total yards in a dominating performance.
