It was over when
The lights went out. After being delayed for more than an hour due to lightning, the game finally got started. It only lasted for slightly more than a half though, before another storm hit, ending the game for good.

The weather took center stage in the Redskins-Ravens game, causing the contest to be delayed and ultimately cancelled in the third quarter.

Game balls
Redskins kicker Shaun Suisham converted both of his field goal attempts, one from 45 yards out, in difficult conditions. For the Ravens, starting quarterback Steve McNair was on the mark, completing 14-of-19 passes for 98 yards and a touchdown.

Key stat
In just over a half of play, the Ravens racked up nine penalties for 49 yards, many of them coming on procedure calls.

Noteworthy
Rookie linebacker Dallas Sartz made a good impression in his bid to make the team, returning an interception three yards for a touchdown in the third quarter.
