Falcons backup quarterback Chris Redman connected with George Cooper for a 1-yard touchdown pass with 2:38 remaining in the fourth quarter. Following an extra point by kicker Billy Cundiff, the score gave the Falcons a 13-10 lead.

Redman finished the game 11-of-21 for 90 yards. His connection to Cooper was the Falcons' only touchdown of the game. Bills defensive end Anthony Hargrove helped keep Buffalo afloat with a tackle, a sack, an interception and a forced fumble.
Key stat
The Bills starters managed just three first downs throughout the second half. Quarterback J.P. Losman went 7-of-13 for 78 yards, but failed to get the Bills into the endzone. Instead, the first string was forced to settle for a 48-yard Rian Lindell field goal.
Noteworthy
Falcons third-string quarterback D.J. Shockley was carted off the field after injuring his left leg in the fourth quarter. Shockley, the Falcons' 7th round draft pick in 2006, was 4-of-5 for 46 yards passing and 18 yards rushing before leaving the game.
