Daniel Jeremiah's Talented Top 50

Alabama dominates initial college football player rankings

The summer is an excellent opportunity for NFL scouts to begin looking at the next round of college football players. I always enjoyed getting my first look at a fresh crop of players after studying the previous group for the past several months. This summer, I took a look at the best college players, regardless of class. It's a group that skews young with 17 seniors and 33 underclassmen, including seven who won't even be eligible for inclusion in the 2014 NFL Draft.

For the past 2½ months, I've pored over as much video as possible to compile my list of the 50 most talented players in college football. This list will continue to change and evolve as I study more teams and more players over the upcoming season. As you'll notice, some of the names on this list are very recognizable, while some are very much under the radar. One thing is certain: There is no shortage of talent at the collegiate level. Especially in the SEC. Particularly at Alabama.
