Overview

Lapham brings outstanding size, a lot of nastiness, and good awareness to the table but lacks the overall mobility necessary to start in the NFL. Could potentially become a backup right tackle. Uses his size and length in pass protection but struggles with speed rushers to the outside, quickness to the inside, and the bull rush underneath his pads. Has powerful hands and can wall-off smaller defenders but naturally plays high, struggles to sustain, and does not exhibit adequate body control in the box or in space. Can be counted upon to know his assignments and play until the whistle. Lapham's a potential seventh rounder.

Analysis

Strengths

Lapham possesses excellent height coupled with adequate bulk for the NFL. Flashes the ability to use his length to push defensive ends past the launch point. Can jar defenders at the snap. Swallows up smaller linemen in the running game. Very good football IQ. Plays with a mean streak.

Weaknesses

Lacks the athleticism, agility and flexibility required at the next level to hold up in pass protection. Gets beat to the corner and struggles to recover against the inside move. Defenders routinely get under his pads. Not comfortable blocking out in space. Has an injury history.
