Inspire Change: Year Up United

Through its partnership with Year Up United, the NFL is helping more employers see talent in a new way. Former students like Ebony Grayson and Jalen Epps are among the more than 50,000 young adults who have gained the training and support they need to succeed in the workplace.

With support from the NFL's Inspire Change initiative, Gulf Coast JFCS and the St. Petersburg Police Department expanded their CALL program's partnership with ANYTOWN, including a youth initiative that funded the hiring of a Youth Engagement Specialist to support young leaders in the greater Tampa Bay Area. From the streets of Los Angeles, California, to positions of leadership, Andrew Mandujano and Mindy Valdez are rewriting their futures. Through a partnership between the NFL and Impact Justice, they're using their lived experiences to mentor justice-involved youth and strengthen the communities they call home.

NFL Inspire Change, in conjunction with the Clark County Library District, hosted a grand opening to celebrate the local launch of Barbershop Books. This non-profit organization focuses on creating child-friendly reading spaces for boys 8 and below in barbershops - with the hope of inspiring reading and reducing reading trauma.

Football has a way of bridging divides - and that's certainly true in Los Angeles, where a coed youth football program was formed in 2013 to connect the LAPD and the community of Watts. This past year, the program's 10-year milestone was honored with a game that serves as a powerful expression of the Watts Rams' impact and growth since being adopted by the "other" Rams-- , the city's NFL franchise.
