Super Bowl LIX Security Procedures
Security screening in and around Levis Stadium will be significantly heightened for Super Bowl LX. To provide a safe environment and to expedite fan entry into the stadium, the NFL limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the stadium. Visit nfl.com/allclear for more details
All items carried by fans will be carefully inspected and potentially not permitted into the stadium.
Consistent with all NFL games, the NFL strongly encourages fans not to bring any type of bag to the Super Bowl, but if necessary, those outlined below are permissible:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" This includes clear backpacks, clear fanny packs and cinch bags that fit within the permissible dimensions
- No buckles, grommets/hardware or décor can be concealing any part of the bag
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag
- Logo can only be on one side of the bag
- Small, non-clear bags that do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5" in size, with or without a handle strap can be taken into the stadium with a clear plastic bag
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after thorough inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.
Prohibited Items at Super Bowl LX
The following list is a guide only. It is not intended to be all-inclusive. The NFL reserves the right to prohibit any item deemed dangerous or inappropriate, at NFL's sole discretion.
- Alcohol
- Animals (except service animals)
- Banners, signs (any object that obstructs the view of others)
- Battery operated clothing (socks, jackets, etc.)
- Backpacks, luggage, suitcases and briefcases
- Bicycles, tricycles, scooters, hoverboards, skateboards, roller skates
- Bottles, cans, thermoses, cups, glass containers and beverages containers of any kind
- Video recording devices, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks
- Chairs, stools or other seating devices (excluding seat cushions)
- Clothing, costume or personal effects that may impede the view of those around or behind you
- Containers of any type (aerosol cans, coolers of any size, bottles)
- Drones, remote controlled unmanned aerial vehicles or other similar motorized vehicles/devices
- Food and beverage of any kind
- Firearms, knives, explosives, blades, scissors, electronic stunning devices or weapons of any kind including replica firearms and edged weapons
- Fireworks, pyrotechnics of any kind
- Footbals, inflated balls/devices, beach balls, throwable sports equipment of any kind
- Frisbees or any missile or object that can be used as a projectile
- Illegal substances
- Illicit hacking/skimming devices
- Laptop Computers, ipads, Tablets, Computers
- Laser lights and pointers
- Masks that cover or conceal identity are not permitted except for medical masks or religious garments
- Mace, pepper spray, chemical irritants
- Motorcycle and bicycle helmets
- Musical instruments not used in sanctioned performances (trumpets, drums, vuvuzelas, and other devices capable of causing a disturbance or nuisance)
- Noisemakers and air horns, whistles, poles, sticks, missile-like objects of any kind
- Pom poms, shakers with stick handles
- Promotional items with commercial slogans or identification without the written consent from the NFL
- Spray paint
- Strollers, prams or pushchairs (unless medically necessary)
- Transmitting devices
- Umbrellas
Note: Prohibited items and items determined to not be appropriate for entry into the stadium will be the responsibility of the ticketholder and cannot be accepted or checked by the NFL, Levis Stadium, or the Santa Clara Police Department. The NFL, Levis Stadium and the Santa Clara Police Department will not store prohibited or excluded items for spectators.
Cameras and Binoculars – Small cameras and binoculars will be allowed. No spectator cameras with lenses more than six inches (6") long will be permitted. Camcorders or similar video recording devices are not allowed. Binocular cases and camera bags must comply with the NFL bag policy.
Items purchased after passing through security on gameday will be allowed into the stadium.
The cooperation, patience and understanding of fans is greatly appreciated by the National Football League, Levis Stadium and the Santa Clara Police Department.
