Super Bowl LVIII Security and Procedures

Security screening in and around Allegiant Stadium will be significantly heightened for Super Bowl LVIII. To provide a safe environment and to expedite fan entry into the stadium, the NFL limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the stadium. Visit nfl.com/allclear for more details

All items carried by fans will be carefully inspected and potentially not permitted into the stadium.

Consistent with all NFL games, the NFL strongly encourages fans not to bring any type of bag to the Super Bowl, but if necessary, those outlined below are permissible: 

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag
  • Small bags, 4.5" x 6.5" or smaller, with or without a handle or strap, can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear bag options.
  • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after thorough inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to: purses or bags larger than 4.5" x 6.5", coolers, briefcases, non-clear backpacks, non-clear fanny packs, non-clear cinch/draw strings, luggage of any kind, computer bags, binocular cases and camera bags, and seat cushions that have pockets, arm rests, metal supports, zippers, compartments or covers.

Prohibited Items at Super Bowl LVIII

The following list is a guide only. It is not intended to be all-inclusive. The NFL reserves the right to prohibit any item deemed dangerous or inappropriate, at NFL's sole discretion.

  • Alcohol
  • Animals (except service animals)
  • Banners, signs (any object that obstructs the view of others)
  • Battery operated clothing (socks, jackets, etc.)
  • Backpacks and briefcases
  • Illegal substances
  • Laptop Computers, ipads, Tablets, Computers
  • Laser lights and pointers
  • Mace/pepper spray
  • Motorized scooters, hover boards, skateboards, or any self-propelled devices
  • Motorcycle and bicycle helmets
  • Noisemakers and horns, whistles, poles, sticks, missile-like objects of any kind
  • Bottles, cans, thermoses, cups, glass containers, and beverage containers of any kind
  • Video recording devices, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks
  • Chairs, stools or other seating devices (excluding seat cushions)
  • Containers of any type (aerosol cans, coolers of any size, bottles)
  • Drones, Remote Controlled Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or other similar motorized vehicles/devices
  • Food and Beverage of any kind (Please note, outside food and drink is not allowed inside the Mandalay Bay South Convention Center, unless a fan has special medical dietary restriction. A fan requiring insulin or an EPI pen can bring his or her medically necessary materials and medications provided all medicine has a prescription label with the fans name)
  • Fireworks, pyrotechnics of any kind
  • Footballs, inflated balls/devices, beach balls, throwable sports equipment of any kind
  • Frisbees
  • Pom poms, shakers with stick handles
  • Promotional items with commercial slogans or identification without the written consent from the NFL
  • Strollers
  • Umbrellas
  • Firearms, weapons, knives and explosive

Note:

Prohibited items and items determined to not be appropriate for entry into the stadium will be the responsibility of the ticketholder and cannot be accepted or checked by the NFL, Allegiant Stadium, or the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The NFL, Allegiant Stadium and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department will not store prohibited or excluded items for spectators.

Cameras and Binoculars

Small cameras and binoculars will be allowed. No spectator cameras with lenses more than six inches (6") long will be permitted. Camcorders or similar video recording devices are not allowed. Binocular cases and camera bags must comply with the NFL bag policy.

Items purchased after passing through security on gameday will be allowed into the stadium.

The cooperation, patience and understanding of fans is greatly appreciated by the National Football League, Allegiant Stadium and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

SUPER BOWL LVIII CODE OF CONDUCT

THE NFL IS COMMITTED TO CREATING A SAFE, COMFORTABLE AND ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE FOR ALL FANS. AS SUCH, FANS ARE REQUIRED TO REFRAIN FROM THE FOLLOWING:

  • Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, or illegal in nature
  • Intoxication or other signs of drug or alcohol impairment that result in irresponsible behavior
  • Offensive language or obscene gestures, this includes the use of such language or gestures concerning a person's race, ethnicity, color, gender, religion, creed, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression or national origin; or to instigate, incite or encourage a confrontation or physical assault.
  • Interference with the progress of the game (including throwing objects on the field and any unauthorized entry to the field of play and restricted areas)
  • Allegiant Stadium is a drug-free and smoke-free environment. The use of drugs (including marijuana), other illegal substances and/or smoking (including vaporizers, e-cigarettes and smokeless tobacco) is strictly prohibited
  • Failure to follow instruction of Super Bowl personnel
  • Verbal or physical harassment of all fans
  • Scalping, improper resale of tickets, misuse of tickets/credentials or illegal merchandise sales
  • Conduct that results in damage to the stadium or other personal property.
  • Failure to comply with any of the Parking Guidelines
  • Violations of any stadium policies, Clark County ordinances, state, or federal laws

If a fan violates the Fan Code of Conduct or fails to identify themselves to stadium staff, the fan is subject to penalty, including being barred. The ticket holder of record may be subject to disciplinary action measures including ticket suspension.
