Warmack earns $50 for losing weight on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a holiday for gluttony.

Smack in the middle of the NFL season, it's not always an easy day for some of the heaviest men on the planet -- many of whom could eat the entire banquet solo, if so desired.

Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Chance Warmack restrained himself Thursday, and he got publicly rewarded on Friday.

Interim coach Mike Mularkey gave Warmack a congratulatory bonus of $50 for weighing in at 326 pounds on Friday after being 327 on Thursday morning, per The Tennessean.

"I ate, I ate good," Warmack said on Friday after practice, via the team's official website. "I just didn't overeat. I had two plates, I just didn't go super crazy."

Warmack is famous for playing with his gut out while at Alabama (known as Warmacking). His target weight is 330 pounds.

Sure, $50 might not be much to a man on a four-year, $12.2 million contract, but it's a symbolic bonus for showing restraint during the stretch run of the season. Getting publicly lauded by your coach is also never a bad thing.

But it might not be the end of this weight story. There are always leftovers to gorge on.

"I've got some cherry pie waiting for me at the crib," Warmack said with a smile.
