Hobbs, who took a hit to the helmet on the second-half kickoff return, underwent an MRI exam Monday morning.
"He does have a disc injury in there -- not the same disc that he had before," Reid said, referring to a separate disc injury that ended Hobbs' 2009 season. "We're just going to take our time and further evaluate it and see how he does."
Hobbs wanted to get up and leave the field on his own, but Reid wouldn't let him. NBC reported that Hobbs walked without assistance out of the Eagles' X-ray room wearing a neck brace. X-rays came back negative.
"He was upset because he wanted to get up and go," Reid said after the game. "Sometimes that happens in those situations. I told him to stay down there and trust the guys that were working with him. I said, 'Let's just make sure things are OK, and let's not do anything stupid here.'"
"I love that kid, he is a tough, tough, tough guy," Reid said Monday. "That was hard to watch yesterday, I'm just hoping for the best for him."
Defensive end Juqua Parker suffered a hip flexor strain Sunday and will be classified as day-to-day. Parker originally injured his hip last Monday in the win over Washington and missed two days of practice last week.
"He's pretty tender today," Reid said. "We'll just have to see."
