PUP list roundup: Burfict, Kevin White sidelined

The Cincinnati Bengals will be without Pro Bowl linebacker Vontaze Burfict. The team placed Burfict on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list to start the 2015 season.

Burfict, who signed by the Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2012, underwent microfracture surgery on his left knee in January.

Burfict will miss the first six games of the regular season. He is eligible to remain with the team for rehabilitation and meetings, but is not able to participate in practice. After the conclusion of Week 6, he will begin a window of eligibility to return to practice under a roster exemption, if he is medically cleared.

Here are other players we are tracking:

  1. The Bears seventh-overall draft pick Kevin White will remain on the PUP list. The rookie wide receiver, who is recovering from a stress fracture in his shin, was placed on the list last month.
  1. The Atlanta Falcons placed tackle Lamar Holmes (foot) on the PUP list. Holmes, a third-round pick in the 2012 draft, appeared in 21 games for the Falcons with 19 starts.
  1. The Jets announced running back Stevan Ridley will begin the season on the PUP list. Ridley is rehabbing from a torn ACL.
  1. The Vikings placed cornerback Josh Robinson on the PUP list. The four-year veteran appeared in 16 games last season.
  1. Patriots wide receiver Brandon LaFell (foot) was placed on the PUP list.
