RETIREMENT NEWS

• LB Shaquil Barrett, currently under contract with the Dolphins, has applied for reinstatement after announcing his retirement this summer, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. Barrett is willing to play for Miami in his return, NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe reported. The Dolphins will need to make a decision by 4 p.m. ET Thursday to bring Barrett back or decline, which would mean remains on the reserve/retired list for the rest of the season, Wolfe added.
