Payne appealed the suspension but it was upheld, the league announced Monday night. Payne was ejected from the game in the second quarter after punching Detroit WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. Payne is eligible to return to the Commanders' active roster on Nov. 17, following Washington's Week 11 game against the Dolphins in Madrid.
