The Cardinals could be without their starting quarterback on Sunday as they look to snap a three-game losing streak.
Kyler Murray is questionable to play in Arizona's Week 6 game against the Indianapolis Colts. Murray missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday with a foot injury but returned on Friday in a limited capacity, providing some hope that he could go this week.
Sunday's game could be Murray's first missed start since Week 9, 2023, the last game he sat out before returning from a torn ACL suffered in 2022.
Without their starting QB, the Cards would be without their engine in the passing and running games. Murray not only paces Arizona's aerial attack (68.3 completion percentage, 962 yards, six touchdowns, three interceptions) but also leads the Cards in rushing yards through five games (173 yards in 29 carries).
In Murray's stead, veteran backup Jacoby Brissett would step in. The journeyman, 32, has seen just four snaps and attempted one pass so far this season. With the Patriots in 2024, Brissett went 1-4, completing 59 percent of his passes for 826 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
Whoever starts will be tasked with leading a diminished Cardinals offense, down James Conner and Trey Benson in the backfield, against a 4-1 Colts team that is third in scoring defense (17.8 points per games) and tied for fifth in takeaways (8) and sacks (14) through five games.
Arizona kicks off against Indy at Lucas Oil Stadium at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
