The Giants said that Case died in Georgia on Thursday. Daughter Lee Anne Rice said he had been ill for a long time.
After retiring from the NFL, Case operated a restaurant in Atlanta called the Brave Falcon. He later retired to Lake Lanier, Ga.
Case was born in Columbus, Ohio, and moved to Decatur, Ga., in 1954. He attended Decatur High School and received a scholarship at Georgia, where he served as captain in 1961.
Survivors include daughters Lee Anne Rice and Cathy Colquitt, son David Case, brother Clifford L. "Bud" Case, niece Andrea Case, nephew Patrick Case, and five grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel in Cumming, Ga.
