Adam Butler, Defensive Tackle
Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Adam Butler has demonstrated a personal commitment to honoring service members, veterans and their families, inspired by his father's 20-year career in the U.S. Air Force. His father retired as a chief master sergeant, instilling in Butler a lasting appreciation for the sacrifices made by military personnel and their loved ones. Butler has participated in several initiatives designed to connect directly with the military community. At USAA's annual Boot Camp, he joined 50 active-duty service members for an NFL Combine-style experience, coaching participants through drills before spending additional time taking photos, signing autographs and engaging with attendees. He also visited Creech Air Force Base, where he learned about the installation's mission from Air Force leaders, participated in immersive training experiences and met with more than 100 service members. Through the Raiders' Holiday Salute initiative, Butler connected with 500 military families and children during an event featuring holiday tree selections, seasonal activities and opportunities to celebrate together. Butler has additionally used the NFL's My Cause My Cleats initiative to recognize active-duty service members and veterans. In partnership with U.S.VETS Las Vegas, he collaborated with a veteran to develop a custom cleat concept reflecting their shared commitment to the military community and highlighting the veteran's personal experiences. Through his participation in military appreciation events, direct engagement with service members and efforts to elevate veterans' stories, Butler continues to use his NFL platform to recognize military sacrifice and foster meaningful connections with those who serve.
