Rayuan Lane III, Safety
Jacksonville Jaguars safety Rayuan Lane III has demonstrated a commitment to supporting the military community through both his service as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and his involvement in the Jaguars' Salute to Service initiatives. A 2025 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Lane was selected by Jacksonville in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft and has since become actively involved with service members, veterans and military families throughout Northeast Florida. Lane has supported Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) through several initiatives, including welcoming participants in the organization's Soldier Ride 250 to the Jaguars' facility for a dinner ahead of their cycling journey. He also visited WWP headquarters in recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11 to learn more about the organization's mission and its continued support for wounded veterans and service members. As a Marine Corps officer, Lane has helped inspire the next generation of military personnel. He administered the Oath of Enlistment to future Marines during a Military Entrance Processing Station ceremony and visited Recruiting Sub Station Jacksonville Beach to deliver motivational remarks and answer questions about his experiences. He has also connected with prospective Marines and local high school students through physical training activities designed to prepare participants for boot camp. Lane has additionally participated in Jaguars Salute to Service programming, including a movie night recognizing active-duty and retired military members and their families. Through his military service and community involvement, Lane continues to honor veterans, encourage future service members and strengthen connections between the Jaguars and Jacksonville's military community.
