Jerious Norwood, NFL Legend
Atlanta Falcons Legend Jerious Norwood has demonstrated an extraordinary and longstanding commitment to honoring and supporting service members, veterans, and military families throughout both his playing career and his years as a member of the Falcons Legends community. During his playing career, Norwood visited wounded service members recovering at Walter Reed Hospital, offering encouragement and gratitude to those who had sacrificed so much in service to our nation. Since retiring, he has remained one of the Falcons' most active supporters of the military community, participating in military appreciation programs, installation visits, and events supporting veterans and their families. Norwood has spent meaningful time with active-duty Soldiers and Marines, National Guard members, wounded veterans, and Gold Star families through base visits, training experiences, reenlistment ceremonies, military family events, and fishing outings for wounded veterans. Whether sharing meals with troops, speaking with military families, or simply taking time to listen and learn, he consistently demonstrates genuine appreciation and respect. What makes Norwood's impact especially meaningful is the authenticity of his involvement. He does not simply attend events; he builds relationships. His willingness to connect personally with service members, veterans, and their loved ones helps create lasting memories, provides encouragement, and ensures military families know their sacrifices are recognized and appreciated. Through his continued commitment, Norwood embodies the spirit of Salute to Service and represents the very best of the Atlanta Falcons organization.
