Patrick Queen, Linebacker
For Patrick Queen, supporting the Military Comes Down to One Word: Respect
Linebacker Patrick Queen's connection to the military isn't rooted in family tradition—he doesn't come from a long line of service members. But through friends who've served and a deep appreciation for those who wear the uniform, Queen has developed a profound respect for the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces.
"All the stuff they went through in the past, and then coming back home and the stuff they go through," said Queen. "I feel like we don't take care of them enough. There are so many more opportunities to help them when they return—places to go, better ways to transition from the life they had to live. And just to say thank you."
Queen's commitment goes beyond words. Since joining the Steelers in 2024, he's been a driving force behind the team's military outreach. He partnered with the Veterans Leadership Program (VLP), an organization dedicated to supporting veterans through housing, career development, wellness, and other essential services. Queen personally provided hygiene kits to 100 veterans—necessities that are often overlooked—and spent time serving them breakfast, offering gratitude and connection face-to-face.
