Chad Kelly suspended two games for October incident

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Chad Kelly's comeback tour will take a brief break.

The NFL announced Friday that Kelly is suspended without pay for the first two games of the 2019 regular season for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

While with the Denver Broncos in 2018, Kelly was arrested in October for suspicion of first-degree trespassing. The Broncos released the quarterback the next day.

Kelly was out of the league until signing with the Colts on May 20 following a successful tryout at the team's rookie minicamp.

In the meantime, Kelly is eligible to participate in the remaining portion of the Colts' offseason workout program, training camp and preseason practices and games.

Provided he makes the Colts' initial 53-player roster, Kelly will miss the first two regular-season games against the Los Angeles Chargers and Tennessee Titans before being eligible to return to the active roster.
