Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott leads Pro Bowl voting

League leading rusher. Top candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Playoff qualifier. Division leader. Budding superstar running back. All of these terms can be used to describe rookie sensation Ezekiel Elliott.

But leading Pro Bowl vote-getter?

That too applies to the Cowboys' running back, who leads all players receiving votes in the NFL with 681,361, the league announced Monday. Who was next in line, you might ask? Teammate and fellow rookie Dak Prescott with 607,621 votes. It's shaping up to be Cowboys season at the annual all-star showcase, held this season in Orlando, Fla.

Elliott has rushed for 1,285 yards and 12 touchdowns on 263 carries in 2016, leading the next-closest running back, Tennessee's DeMarco Murray, by 242 yards. The rookie, selected fourth overall out of Ohio State, powers a run-first offense that has made Prescott's undertaking of the starting quarterback position much easier and has led Dallas to an 11-1 record.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (519,210 votes), Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown (508,913 votes) and Raiders quarterback Derek Carr (500,770 votes) round out the top five.

The Pro Bowl, which will return to an AFC vs. NFC format, will be played on Sunday, Jan. 29 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. To vote for the Pro Bowl, click here.
