Injuries: Dez Bryant breaks bone in foot

The bad news keeps piling up for the Redskins.

DeSean Jackson injured his hamstring running a deep route, which Kirk Cousins overthrew, during the first quarter against the Dolphins.

Jackson didn't return during the Redskins' 17-10 loss.

Here are other injuries we're keeping tabs on during Week 1:

  1. Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs was carted into the locker room in the fourth quarter with a torn Achilles, coach John Harbaugh revealed after the game. He will miss the remainder of the season.
  1. The Cowboys and Tony Romo were forced to complete their comeback win over the Giants without the services of star wide receiver Dez Bryant, who they'll be without for extended time. Bryant broke a bone in his foot during the win and will miss four to six weeks, per Jason Garrett.
  1. Jets rookie linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin (head/neck) was taken to the hospital. The third-round pick left the field on a spinal board after falling motionless under a scrum for a loose ball. He tried to get to his feet at first, but then crumbled to the ground and was attended to by the Jets' medical staff.

Mauldin's agent, Cameron Hahn, told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, "He has feeling in all his extremities and his scans have all been clean. Keep him overnight and monitor him and continue some testing but so far so good."

  1. Panthers star linebacker Luke Kuechlysuffered a concussion Sunday and was ruled out. Kuechly sustained the head injury while attempting to make a tackle in the second quarter. He was helped off the field.
  1. Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton did not return versus the Bills with a knee injury. Hilton went to the locker room to get his knee evaluated. After the game, coach Chuck Pagano said that Hilton suffered a knee bruise and should be fine. 
  1. Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie was ruled out after being carted off the field during the second quarter against the Browns. Cromartie was helped off the field, putting no weight on his left leg. It was a non-contact injury. Rapoport reports that Cromartie may have damage to multiple ligaments, with an MRI scheduled for Monday.
  1. Cleveland quarterback Josh McCown was ruled out of Sunday's contest. He was evaluated for a head injury after taking a big hit on an attempt to score a touchdown in the first quarter. Johnny Manzielreplaced McCown at quarterback.
  1. Raiders quarterback Derek Carrwent to the locker room with a hand injury in the second quarter and and did not return. The team announced that Carr's X-rays were negative on the hand. Matt McGloin went in at quarterback for the Raiders.
  1. Cowboys pass rusher Randy Gregory suffered an ankle injury in the third quarter Sunday night against the Giants. The Cowboys' second-round pick did not return.
  1. Cardinals running back Andre Ellington was carted off the field in the third quarter with a knee injury and did not return. Coach Bruce Arians told the media that he thinks Ellington's injured his PCL and that the running back will get an MRI on Monday to determine the severity.
  1. Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson was ruled out with a concussion. Johnson had an interception against Seattle before his injury.
  1. Luke Joeckel was ruled out with an ankle injury. The Jaguars offensive tackle initially returned from the injury only to leave the field again in the third quarter against the Panthers.
  1. Bills safety Corey Graham was evaluated for a concussion and didn't return against the Colts.
  1. Panthers offensive tackle Daryl Williams injured his knee and did not return.
  1. Redskins safety Duke Ihenacho sustained an injured wrist and was downgraded to out. CB Justin Rogers (foot) didn't return.
  1. Dolphins tight end Dion Sims was ruled out with a concussion.
  1. Packers linebacker Sam Barrington left the game and did not return with an ankle injury.
  1. Ravens offensive tackle Eugene Monroe suffered a concussion on Sunday and did not return.
  1. Raiders safety Nate Allen did not return to the game with a knee injury.
  1. Chargers guard D.J. Fluker was carted off in the third quarter against the Lions and did not return. The team announced after the game that Fluker suffered an ankle injury but it is not broken. Rapoport reports Fluker is expected to be out four to six weeks, per a source informed of his injury.
  1. Broncos defensive end Malik Jackson suffered a concussion and did not return to the game.

Adding injury to insult, Broncos safety Omar Bolden also did not return with a foot injury.

  1. Chargers wide receiver Jacoby Jones suffered an ankle injury and did not return.
  1. Titans tight end Delanie Walker hurt his hand against the Buccaneers and did not return. Coach Ken Whisenhunt said after the game that Walker's hand wasn't broken.
