NFL Media's Desmond Purnell reported that Terrance Williamsdeparted Thursday's practice with a bruised left elbow. The third-year pass catcher was taken away for X-rays, with the team saying he "could have irritated a nerve," per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Williams was hurt during an on-field collision with safety Barry Church, leaving the team without its top two receivers for the rest of the day. Bryant was in attendance but not practicing after sitting out the team's offseason program in a public contract dispute.
Cole Beasley and second-year wideout Devin Street are next in the pecking order above journeyman A.J. Jenkins and a rash of undrafted targets in Antwan Goodley, George Farmer, Nick Harwell, Deontay Greenberry and Lucky Whitehead.
Williams was an important part of the offense last season, hauling in 37 passes for 621 yards and eight touchdowns, while also serving as a spot kick returner. Quarterback Tony Romo said last week that Williams "has had one of the best offseasons I've seen in a while."
Williams later tweeted, "I'm not injury prone it takes a lot more ... I'm straight thanks."
