» It must be incredibly depressing for Jim Caldwell that Eric Ebron is not on this list. He's probably not on Caldwell's list, either. Yes, reports are that he's having a fantastic offseason, but for the moment, can the 2014 first-rounder be trusted over Brandon Pettigrew?

» The defense will take a step back without Ndamukong Suh and is left hoping that Haloti Ngata still has enough left in the tank to draw a consistent double team. This will also be a huge test for Ezekiel Ansah, who will need to come into his own in 2015.

» First-round pick Laken Tomlinson should help Detroit find a little more balance on the O-line. As a mauling guard, he'll slide in next to last year's third-round pick, Travis Swanson, and help the Lions' continued makeover of their interior. It was a measured, but much-needed pick this year.

» The Lions, for some time now, have avoided picking cornerbacks up high when they had the chance. Though the league is shifting focus back to a power-running style, they'll still need more help back there.
