NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that the 3-4 defensive end will visit with the Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks this week, per a source who has spoken with the player.

The Redskins are preparing for a potential sea change along their defensive front under new coordinator Joe Barry. With lineman Stephen Bowen set to make $5.4 million and Jarvis Jenkins a free agent, it's possible neither will return to the nation's capital. It's worth noting that new Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan originally drafted Jean Francois with the 49ers in 2009.

In San Francisco, new coach Jim Tomsula worked closely with Jean Francois during their four seasons together in red and gold. The Niners are on the prowl for help at the end slot with Justin Smith's future entirely up in the air.

The Colts released Jean Francois on Monday, sparing Indy's front office of the final two years of a bloated four-year, $22 million contract he inked in 2013. Jean Francois posted a career-high 28 tackles last season, but the remaining cash was exorbitant considering what the 28-year-old put on tape over the past two seasons.
