'Ray' actor and son of ex-Titans WR signs with Notre Dame

National signing day is the stage of a lifetime for many of the nation's top high school recruits, but for C.J. Sanders, it's nothing compared to the silver screen.

The son of former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Chris Sanders played a young Ray Charles in the acclaimed movie "Ray," which starred Jamie Foxx and grossed in excess of $75 million. Roughly 10 years later, C.J. Sanders has signed with Notre Dame as a four-star wide receiver recruit and a key member of the Fighting Irish's 2015 signing class.

When Sanders committed to Notre Dame last year, Foxx sent his congratulations via social media:

The elder Sanders recorded 177 career catches for 3,285 yards in the NFL, all with the Oilers/Titans franchise.
