Michael Bennett soaks up Media Day spotlight

PHOENIX -- Michael Bennett was born for Media Day.

Stand next to the Seahawks defensive lineman for five minutes and you'll get more interesting quotes than the Patriots will offer in a decade. He wants Rick Ross to headline the Super Bowl halftime show. He respects his defensive coordinator because he likes to "drop his lower extremities in big games." He nominates himself when asked to name the best Michael -- Tyson, Jackson or Jordan.

Two weeks ago, Bennett said the Seahawks defense should be considered the best of its era. On Tuesday, I asked him how much stronger his opinion will look if Seattle can knock off Peyton Manning and Tom Brady in back-to-back years.

"Yeah, it's like Madonna annnnnnnnnd Marilyn Monroe," he replied. "So that's going to be cool."

Bennett was asked what makes Brady so special as a player.

"I compare him to Captain America," he said. "I think about Aaron Rodgers, he's like Chris Evans before he got the HGH injection in Captain America. But before he was super smart and was still witty and stuff. That's how I see Tom Brady."
