DeMarco Murray, Dez Bryant set Cowboys franchise records

Though the Dallas Cowboys already clinched the NFC East, two of their offensive stars were still able to secure franchise records Sunday's Week 17 win over the Redskins.

With a 32-yard run in the first quarter, running back DeMarco Murray broke Emmitt Smith's single-season record of 1,773 rushing yards, bringing the former Oklahoma star up to 1,798 in a revelatory 2014 campaign.

As if that weren't enough, on the very next play, Dez Bryant hauled in a toe-tapping touchdown reception from Tony Romo, his second of the game and 16th of the year, surpassing Terrell Owens' record of 15 such grabs. Earlier in the quarter, Dez got touchdown No. 15 on a 65-yard catch-and-run, fortifying his status as one of the league's top pass-catchers.
