Ranking every FBS team at midseason: Nos. 91-100

Print

91. UT San Antonio (2-4)

Buzz: UTSA looked good in its opener, a win over Houston. But the only other win was a nail-biter over FIU.

92. Syracuse (2-4)

Buzz: The Orange play at Wake Forest on Saturday. That appears to be the last real chance for a win this season.

93. Texas State (3-3)

Buzz: The Bobcats have averaged 49 points per game in their three wins -- but just 22 in their three losses.

94. Hawaii (2-4)

Buzz: Three of the Warriors' four losses have come to Pac-12 teams, by a combined 18 points.

95. Wyoming (3-3)

Buzz: The Cowboys' three wins have come by a combined nine points.

96. Old Dominion (3-3)

Buzz: The Monarchs, in their first season in the FBS ranks, have a good offense and are averaging 30.6 points per game. One problem: They're giving up 36.9 per game.

97. Rice (3-3)

Buzz: The Owls have been to back-to-back bowl games, and they never have been to a bowl in three consecutive seasons.

98. Tulane (2-4)

Buzz: The season hasn't gone as expected -- at least not yet -- but Tulane did open an on-campus stadium, which should be a big plus going forward.

99. USF (2-4)

Buzz: Bulls coach Willie Taggart was an excellent quarterback at Western Kentucky from 1995-98. Unfortunately for Taggart, he probably is a better quarterback (at age 38) than his current Bulls signal-callers.

100. Vanderbilt (2-5)

Buzz: Remember when Vandy went to a bowl game last season? And the season before? And the season before that, too? ... Yeah, neither do I.
