Say hello to Johnny Baseball.
In what amounts to an overt PR stunt, the Padres claim to envision Manziel at shortstop.
It's worth noting that Manziel has a history with the Padres after throwing out the first pitch at a San Diego tilt in 2013.
"Big thank you to the (Padres) and (team president & CEO Mike Dee) for selecting me in the MLB draft. What a great day!" tweeted Manziel.
"Best athlete on the board," responded Dee.
Forget the fact that JFF hasn't played an inning of baseball since high school. The Padres have confirmed what we already knew about Manziel: Everybody wants a piece of the action.
