Greg Hardy's four sacks propelled the Carolina Panthers to a 21-20 victory over the Atlanta Falcons and earned him the NFC Defensive Player of the Week award for Week 17.
Given Hardy's response to questions after Sunday's performance, the defensive end probably expected this week's award.
"Man, I dominated breakfast when I woke up so I don't know what you're talking about," Hardy said when asked if he usually dominates like he did Sunday. "I dominate everything I do. Silly question. Next question."
The next question: What did you have for breakfast?
"Cereal," Hardy said, per The News & Observer. "I killed it. No spoon."
Hardy also earned our Player Quote of the Week award for Week 17.
Sticking in the NFC South, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees took home the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award after tossing four touchdown passes and a putting up a gaudy 381 yards passing in a 42-17 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
LeGarrette Blount's monster game earned him the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award and helped lead the New England Patriots to a first-round bye in the playoffs. Blount gobbled up 189 yards on 24 rushing attempts with two touchdowns in a 34-20 win over the Buffalo Bills.
New York Jets rookie cornerback Dee Milliner played his best game of the season, earning him the final AFC Defensive Player of the Week award for the 2013 regular season. The rookie had two interceptions, five passes defensed and four tackles in the Jets' 20-7 win over the Miami Dolphins.
Veteran kickers took home the special teams awards in both the AFC and NFC. Adam Vinatieri scored 12 points for the Indianapolis Colts, including three field goals. San Francisco 49ers kicker Phil Dawson notched a 56-yard boot along with the game-winning field goal against the Arizona Cardinals.
