Picking winners for Week 11 NFL games

Each week, the Around The League writer with the worst record in picks has to write our introduction. This week, that man is Chris Wesseling.

Sometimes the oblong spheroid doesn't bounce your way. That was my takeaway from an abnormally long list of nail-biters in Week 10.

I'm writing the picks intro this week because the 49ers, Titans, Texans and Bengals lost by a combined nine points, and the Dolphins and Redskins blew fourth-quarter leads.

I did my part. The teams I backed just couldn't close the deal.

In other words, there will be no change in methodology this week. I'm going with my gut. To do otherwise would go against everything I've learned about football over the past three decades.
