Mike Tomlin on James Harrison: We've 'got to move on'

One subplot wrapped into Monday night's game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals is the offseason relocation of James Harrison.

After a decade of raising havoc with Pittsburgh's defense, Harrison now sets his sights on quarterback Ben Roethlisberger as part of a Bengals pass rush that looms as one of the NFL's best. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin -- not the sentimental type -- isn't dwelling on the reunion.

"To be honest, when I step into the stadium, they're nameless, gray faces to me once we get started," Tomlin told reporters on a conference call Wednesday, per The Cincinnati Enquirer. "That's just part of today's NFL. There's movement in this business, and just about every week, you're running across a guy you've had a professional and personal experience with in the past.

"James is a special guy who did special things here, but from that standpoint, you've got to move on."

In reality, the Steelers moved on months ago, when they allowed Harrison to walk after a 2012 campaign in which he produced his lowest sack totals since 2006. This season, the Bengals aren't relying on Harrison to do it alone. He played just 40 snaps in the opener, mostly dropped into the mix on passing downs.

Still, no matter what Tomlin says, seeing Harrison barnstorm Big Ben makes this a must-watch affair Monday night.
