New England Patriots' Julian Edelman visits attack victim

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman paid a visit to Boston Marathon victim Jeffrey Bauman Jr. on Thursday.

Bauman, 27, suffered severe injuries in the bombing and had to have his legs amputated below the knees. Nevertheless, he was able to give authorities a description of a man he said he saw drop a bag at his feet.

Edelman tweeted a photo of the visit, which also included actor Bradley Cooper:

The Patriots players and organization have quickly responded to aid the city and the attack victims in any way possible.

Police took wounded 19-year-old college student Dzhokhar Tsarnaev into custody Friday night in connection with the bombings, in which three people were killed. Tsarnaev's brother, 26-year-old Tamerlan, was killed earlier Friday in a furious attempt to escape police.
