Tony Romo threw three interceptions in a season-ending 28-18 loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday night, dropping his record to 1-6 in elimination games as the Dallas Cowboys' quarterback.

Instead of altering unflattering perceptions, Romo reinforced them. Despite that, he still has the full faith of Cowboys coach Jason Garrett.
"We have great belief of Tony Romo as our quarterback," Garrett said Monday, via The Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "Tony has won a lot of big games for us, too, to get us to the point where we can play for the division in Week 17 in consecutive years. We all know that we want to take the next step, and Tony is going to be a big part of that going forward."
Romo threw a career-worst 19 interceptions this season, but he also had little help from his running game while being sacked 36 times, tying a career high set last season. He did throw for a career-best 4,903 yards with 28 touchdowns.
"I think you have to understand the whole body of work," Garrett said. "I think you have to understand that winning is how we get evaluated. He's done a lot of great things for this franchise. We're excited about him being our quarterback."
Romo has one year remaining on his contract, and don't be surprised if the sides work out a new deal during the offseason. If the Cowboys truly do believe in Romo, they'll want to steer clear of the distraction that will come with their franchise quarterback playing for a contract in 2013.
