Robert Griffin III: Justin Tuck's respect is an honor

Washington Redskins dy-no-mite quarterback Robert Griffin III has admirers in almost every walk of life. Some applaud his style of play, some adore his playful attitude and others appreciate his wit, candor and intelligence.

New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck not only admires the rookie quarterback, but recently said he will have "nightmares" of RG3 torching his defense.

Griffin, when asked on "NFL AM" about Tuck being mad at the "football gods" for putting RG3 in his division, said he's always glad when he has his opponent's respect.

"It's an honor to be able to affect other football players like that on other teams, because that means they respect you, they respect the way you play, you go about the game the right way," RG3 said. "He's still going to be trying to sack me on Monday night. He's still going to try to come after me and try to shut our offense down. I realize that, but whenever you've earned the respect of your opponents that means you've done what you are supposed to do."

Tuck will try to corral Griffin on Monday in prime time. RG3 believes his team's last two wins give the Redskins an advantage.

"We have that momentum coming with us and I think everybody is ready to go," he said. "Once again, it's a one game season for us this is only game that we have, and the only one that matters."
