Calvin Johnson (knee) misses Detroit Lions practice

It's been a good week for those silly believers of the Madden Curse. Calvin Johnson was held to just three catches for 34 yards on Monday night against Charles Tillman and the Chicago Bears.

Harrison: Week 8 predictions

The Falcons are the last remaining undefeated, but trouble looms large on Sunday. Elliot Harrison forecasts Week 8. **More ...**

Now, Johnson is fighting off a knee injury. He sat out the Detroit Lions' practice Friday, just like he did Wednesday.

That's the bad news.

The good news is that the Lions' official website and the Detroit Free Press both write that Megatron is fully expected to start Sunday against Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, aka "Optimus Prime."

Johnson said he took motivation from Seattle's trash talk this week.

The Seahawks' cornerbacks play a physical brand of football similar to Tillman, which could give Megatron trouble. It's desperation time for the Lions, so fantasy owners should be reasonably confident Johnson will be on the field.
