When we last checked in with Brian Banks, he was departing rookie minicamp with the San Francisco 49ers without a contract.
Banks, one of the brighter narratives offered up this offseason, says his story isn't over:
I have a month to train, GET BETTER, and then the tryouts restart rt before camps. I'm determined, and relentless. I've already won

Banks has turned heads. He participated in a two-day minicamp with the Seattle Seahawks earlier this month. He's also worked out with the San Diego Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told ATL last week that Banks is "big enough, he's got the body to have a chance," but needs to gain strength.
Banks, 26, spent five years in prison after he was falsely accused of rape. He will spend the next month working with renowned trainer Travelle Gaines in Orange County, Calif. It's probably his final chance to catch on with a team, but after what Banks has seen, an NFL career would simply be the cherry on top.
