Brian Banks completed a three-day rookie minicamp with the San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday, but he left the facility without a contract, according to The Sacramento Bee.
Banks also has worked out with the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs. With many general managers and coaches taking their vacations beginning this week, it's unlikely another tryout is in Banks' immediate future.
On Monday, Around the League spoke withSeahawks coach Pete Carroll, who has made it clear Banks is facing an uphill challenge after not playing football since high school.
"The baseline of his conditioning right now, he's big enough, he's got the body to have a chance, he moves OK, we can see all that," Carroll said. "Now we have to see if he can get stronger, and quicker and faster in the next month and a half, which is a very difficult challenge for him."
Banks is set to begin workouts with renowned trainer Travelle Gaines in Orange County, Calif. Gaines might represent Banks' last best chance at achieving his NFL dream.
Banks served five years in prison after being convicted of raping a high school classmate. While on parole and living as a registered sex offender, Banks was contacted by his accuser, who told him she had lied to authorities about being raped. Banks later was exonerated.
