OK, everyone has had a few days to digest how their favorite pro team fared in the draft. We decided to take a look at the "Power 5" conferences and see how they did.
Included is a listing of each "Power 5" school's number of draftees in the 2000s and their most recent first-round pick. If a player is designated with an asterisk (*), it means he was the earliest selection from a school that had multiple first-round picks that year.
LSU led the way with nine draftees this year. Alabama and Notre Dame had eight each, and national champion Florida State had seven. Auburn, which fell to FSU in the national title game, had four draftees.
This is a look at how the SEC performed in the 2014 NFL Draft:
» The SEC had 49 players selected, most among the conferences. It was the eighth year in a row the SEC had the most draftees.
» Every SEC school had at least one player selected, led by LSU with nine. That was the most of any school.
» There were 11 first-rounders, most among the conferences.
» Position of interest: The SEC had eight wide receivers selected, the most of any league, along with seven defensive ends and six offensive tackles. In all, the SEC had 11 offensive linemen and 10 defensive linemen picked, the most of any league. The flipside: There were just three corners drafted, and two went in the seventh round.

Alabama

The buzz: Alabama has had multiple first-round picks in each of the past five drafts.
Arkansas

The buzz: Since McFadden and fellow RB Felix Jones were first-rounders in 2008, no Hogs player has been drafted earlier than the third round.
Auburn
» 48 draftees, 10 first-rounders (most recent OT Greg Robinson* in 2014) | Auburn draft history
The buzz: Auburn had four draftees in 2014, double the number in the past two drafts combined.
Florida
» 77 draftees, 16 first-rounders (most recent DT Dominique Easley in 2014) | Florida draft history
The buzz: Easley was the seventh Florida defender to go in the first round in the past eight drafts.
Georgia
» 85 draftees, 13 first-rounders (most recent LB Jarvis Jones* in 2013) | Georgia draft history
The buzz: Georgia had two draftees in 2014, the fewest for the Bulldogs since 1991, when they also had two.
Kentucky
» 23 draftees, one first-rounder (most recent DT Dewayne Robertson in 2003) | Kentucky draft history
The buzz: Kentucky has had one player (Randall Cobb) selected earlier than the third round since Robertson went in the first round in 2003.
LSU
» 84 draftees, 15 first-rounders (most recent WR Odell Beckham* in 2014) | LSU draft history
The buzz: LSU has had nine players selected in each of the past two drafts, and 11 of the 18 have gone earlier than the fourth round.
Mississippi

The buzz: Mississippi has had two players selected in the past four drafts combined.
Mississippi State

The buzz: G Gabe Jackson was the lone Bulldogs player taken in the 2014 draft and was just the fourth offensive player from Mississippi State selected in the past eight drafts.
Missouri

The buzz: Mizzou had four players drafted in 2014, just three fewer than in the previous four drafts combined.
South Carolina

The buzz: Clowney was the first South Carolina player to go No. 1 overall in the draft since RB George Rogers in 1981.
Tennessee
» 70 draftees, 14 first-rounders (most recent OT Ja'Wuan James in 2014) | Tennessee draft history
The buzz: James was the first Vols offensive lineman to go in the first round since 1991, when Vols OTs Charles McRae and Antone Davis were the No. 7 and No. 8 picks.
Texas A&M

The buzz: Texas A&M had three players drafted in 2014, and all three went in the first round, including two in the top seven.
Vanderbilt

The buzz: Vandy has had at least two players selected in each of the past three drafts; that hasn't happened at the school since 1957-59.

The buzz: Louisville had the most first-rounders (three) of any school in the 2014 draft. The Cardinals had four in the past four drafts combined.
Notre Dame

The buzz: The Irish had eight players selected this year, the most for the school since 1994, when 10 players were drafted.
