Cardinals' Whisenhunt: Wells to test injured hammy before game

Arizona Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said Friday running back Beanie Wells will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the New York Giants, according to the team's official site.

Whisenhunt said Wells will test out his hamstring injury before the game, but indicated he's optimistic about the progress the running back made during the week of practices.

Wells, who was limited in practice Thursday, had already said this week that he expected to play.

Before sitting out last Sunday's 13-10 loss in Seattle, Wells was off to the best start of his career, rushing for 183 yards in two games and averaging 5.7 yards per carry.
