Remember all the Legatron talk in Zuerlein's rookie season? Well, all the leg strength in the world doesn't matter if you're not seeing enough opportunities to produce. In 2013, Zuerlein saw just 28 field-goal attempts behind what was a questionable Rams offense. While he made 92.9 percent of those attempts, he still finished outside of the top 20 at his position. The return of Sam Bradford should be a positive for Zuerlein, but there's a lot he needs to prove before fantasy owners can trust him as a viable starter.

Sturgis had some fantasy value at times during his rookie season, but he was too inconsistent to be used as a regular starter. Case in point ... he had zero field goal attempts and one point combined in the last two weeks of the season. He also missed eight times, though Sturgis did nail three field goals from 50-plus yards. he could sneak into the top 15 kickers if the Dolphins continue to improve on the offensive side of the football, but Sturgis still isn't going to have his named called as more than a No. 2 kicker in drafts.

Janikowski has been a boom or bust kicker in fantasy land for most of his NFL career. Last season was the later, as he finished an awful 27th in fantasy points among kickers. He also converted on just 70 percent of his field-goal attempts. That was his lowest percentage since 2005. Sea Bass has also seen a dip in field-goal attempts in each of the last four seasons, so his offense is clearly doing him no favors. If things don't pick up for the Silver & Black, Janikowski is going to be waiver-wire fodder once again.

Succop was a viable sleeper last season, but he just barely finished in the top 20 in fantasy points among kickers. In fact, he may be best known for missing the 41-yarder that kept San Diego in last year's postseason chase while crushing the souls of the Steelers and their fans. Succop, who scored 120 fantasy points overall, also faultered down the stretch with two field-goal conversions over the last five weeks. Unless he proves to be more productive in the stat sheets in 2014, this veteran isn't going to be worth even a late-rounder.

He's not Robinson Cano, but don't you know that Gano ranked 15th in fantasy points among kickers last season? He had his share of nice stat lines, scoring double-digit fantasy poitns six times, but Gano wasn't at all reliable. In fact, Gano attempted just one field goal in his last two games of the season ... that didn't help his owners all that much after a productive 24-for-27 season. On the bright side, Gano does have a strong leg (6-of-6 from 50-plus yards last season) and some potential to be a nice matchup-based starter in 2014.

In four years with the Steelers, Suisham has increased his made field-goal conversion totals every single season (14, 23, 28, 30). He was successful on a career-best 93.8 percent of his field goals in 2013, but the veteran out of Bowling Green State still finished outside of the top 12 kickers based on fantasy points. While accurate, Suisham doesn't have the strongest leg ... he has just two field goals of 50-plus yards in the last three seasons. That's what keeps him from moving up into the next level of fantasy kickers.

Brown ranked a very unimpressive 29th in fantasy points last season, but you can't blame him for the lack of stats. He made 23-of-26 field-goal attempts, including one from 52 yards, and also converted on 7-of-8 from 40-49 yards away. The problem was the Giants offense, which was dreadful and allowed him the 26th-fewest field-goal chances in the league. If new OC Ben McAdoo can get this ship turned around, Brown could end up back in the good graces of fantasy owners. Consider him a No. 2 fantasy kicker with the potential to become a starter.

The Bills parted ways with long-time kicker Rian Lindell before the 2013 season, instead going with Carpenter. He performed well in the stat sheets, converting on 33-of-36 field-goal attempts including 4-of-6 from 50-plus yards. The veteran would finish 10th in fantasy points among kickers, though he was never even owned in more than 10 percent of NFL.com leagues. He'll be back in Buffalo after signing a four-year contract in the offseason, but Carpenter still won't draw very much interest in fantasy drafts.

Forbath didn't make much of a fantasy impact last season, as he missed three games due to injuries and finished outside of the top 30 kickers based on fantasy points. He did show some flashes of potential at times, making five field goals of 40-plus yards, but Forbath wasn't valuable overall. He could be a decent sleeper if the Redskins offense gets rolling under new coach Jay Gruden, but there's no enough here to make Forbath a draftable kicker. Consider him a potential matchup-based starter in most 2014 fantasy formats.

An undrafted rookie out of Clemson, Catanzaro beat out veteran Jay Feely for the kicker job in Arizona this preseason Through three preseason games, he's 4-4 on both field goal attempts and extra points and has been sending kickoffs deep into the endzone. His strong legw as the deciding factor in him winning the job.

Nugent made a respectable 81.8 percent of his field-goal attempts last season, but he had a mere 22 tries overall and finished an unimpressive 23rd in fantasy points at his position. Furthermore, he didn't attempt a single field goal in Weeks 14-16. Nugent was tied for second in extra points, which is part of the reason for his fantasy failers ... when the Bengals were in the red zone, the offense scored touchdowns. Nugent should see more field-goal chances in 2014, but not likely enough to make him a fantasy starter.

Bullock was one of the biggest disappointments among kickers last season. He made a mere 74.3 percent of his field-goal attempts, finished 26th in fantasy points at his position and was on the verge of being released by the Texans. Houston's offense will have a different look under new coach Bill O'Brien, who likes to throw the football, so Bullock should have a chance to improve in the stat sheets. He'll likely be on a very short leash if he wins the top spot out of training camp, too. Overall, Bullock isn't draftable.

Cundiff, who signed a one-year deal to remain with the Browns in the offseason, has rarely been a reliable fantasy option in his career. He converted 21-of-26 field-goal attempts in 2013, which was good for an 80.8 conversion rate, but his career field-goal rate of 76.2 is under whelming. So while the team should have a better offense than in seasons past under new rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel, it's tough to envision Cundiff emerging into anything more than a matchup-based No. 2 kicker in most fantasy leagues.

Scobee has had his share of memorable fantasy moments in his career, including nailing a 59-yard game winning field goal against the Indianapolis Colts in 2010, but he has rarely been a consistent option. In fact, he finished just 31st in fantasy points among kickers last season ... Scobee has also failed to finish in the top 15 at his position in each of the last three years. So, despite the fact that he connected on a solid 92 percent of his field-goal attempts in 2013, Scobee isn't going to be a viable option in drafts.

Acquired from the Giants during the preseaon, McManus will replace Matt Prater while he's suspended until Week 6. Expect him to get plenty of opportunities in the Broncos high-scoring offense.
