As a redshirt in 2016, he started all 12 games and was named honorable mention All-ACC and a Freshman All-American because after leading Duke with 107 tackles, 9.5 for loss, four sacks, an interception and two pass breakups. He earned first-team All-ACC honors and Duke's team MVP as a sophomore, starting all 13 games and recording a team-high 125 tackles and 16 tackles for loss (with 4.5 sacks, an interception and four pass breakups). Giles-Harris only made nine starts in 2018, missing the final four games with an MCL sprain.
