Meyers was a quarterback at Arabia Mountain High School in Georgia before signing with the Wolfpack, as well as a basketball and baseball star. He redshirted at quarterback in 2015, but the season was a wash as he underwent knee surgery. The following year, coaches moved Meyers to receiver a week before the season opener and he played in all 13 games as a reserve (13-158-12.2). He became a favorite target of quarterback Ryan Finley in 2017, earning the team's Most Improved Player award after grabbing 63 throws for 727 yards (11.5 average) and five touchdowns. ACC coaches voted him first-team all-conference in 2018, joining teammate and fellow first-teamer Kelvin Harmon as a 1,000-yard receiver (92-1,047-11.4, four TDs in 12 games.)

Overview
Improving slot target with good size and great hands who might be destined to find himself in contested catch battles in the pros. Meyers plays with good awareness and field IQ and he's more than tough enough to handle physical catch opportunities, but he could struggle against press coverage and his route speed and vertical push is below average. Meyers' ball skills will stand out, but he needs to prove he can run and uncover against NFL athletes across from him.
Strengths
  • Developed strong field rapport with Ryan Finley
  • Safety net from the slot with 222 targets over two seasons
  • Quarterback convert who continues to hone his craft
  • Sneaky to separate from stems
  • Keeps route breaks and turns tight
  • Good toughness to work in the middle of the field
  • Doesn't need much time to get catch-ready
  • Competes when ball is in the air
  • Hands are soft but sudden
  • High school baseball player with plus ball-tracking
  • Excellent body adjustments to haul in inaccurate throws
  • Frame and hand strength to catch through contact.
Weaknesses
  • Below-average athlete
  • Won't see same number of free releases in the pros
  • Lacks sudden feet to shake press in front of him
  • Lethargic early speed into routes
  • Does not inspire fear to push defenders off of him with long speed
  • Needs to craft more dynamic routes to uncover
  • Too gradual getting into his breaks underneath
  • Feasted on outs and crossing routes against off-coverage
  • Lacks twitchy burst out of breaks to get away from tight man
  • Below-average as downfield leaper.
