Overview
Thin receiver who lacks the consistent play speed to play outside. Marks has posted quality production and plays with good energy and toughness, but he lacks the play strength and explosiveness in his routes to expect to uncover against NFL talent. He does have some talent after the catch and has experience as a return man, but those qualities may not be enough to make it in the league.
Strengths
  • Soft hands that pluck the ball away from his body. Good leaper with desired high point timing. Able to drop suddenly and secure the low throw. Can dodge and dance around tacklers in tight quarters. Plays with decent toughness and is able to maintain possession through punishing hits. Has experience as punt and kick returner
Weaknesses
  • Spindly frame with thin limbs. Takes too long to disengage from press corners when they body him up. Extremely upright as a route-runner. Routes are segmented and slow. Sluggish getting into and out of the top of his routes. Patterns lack deceptive qualities and rarely create necessary leverage
